Creating Server API Key to Send Message From Our Server to Google Cloud Messaging Service

server-gcm-server-api-keyWhen sending a message from your own HTTP server to Google cloud messaging server, you need to authenticate using Server API Key.   • Login to Developer Console
  • Create API Project “if you do not have one”
  • Click on API & auth
  • Switch ON Google Cloud Messaging for Android

  • Go to API & auth >> Credentials
  • Under Public API key click Create New Key
  • Select Server Key
  • Click Create “leave the text box empty if you don’t have a specific IP address”
  • Look for Key for server applications under Public API access
  • You should have some thing similar to this
